Getting Married
The
Fiji Islands offer a simple licensing process for everyone,
regardless of their country of birth, their religion or their
beliefs.
A license is required to marry in Fiji. These are obtainable
within one working day from the Fiji Registry at either Nadi,
Suva, Lautoka or Savusavu. Cost F$20, valid 21 days.
Requirements:
- Original
or certified copy of respective birth certificate
- Officially
witnessed consent of your father if you are under 21
- Passport
- And
if previously divorced, a copy of the divorce papers
- For
specific religious denominations there are other requirements
such as Certificates of Baptism, a letter from your local
Priest
Most
resorts offer wedding and honeymoon packages and handle all
the details.
